In 2008...

Matt and I had a great year full of changes.

During the Winter, Mother Nature blew through, forcing us to get a new roof sooner than planned. Throughout the cold months, we continued with the interior painting and other small projects.

When Spring came, we finally had an opportunity to landscape our front walkway and planters. Matt even bought me my coveted hanging baskets, which put a smile on my face everytime I saw our house.

Summer brought the biggest project of the year, painting the exterior of the entire house. It was a 3-4 week project, which Matt worked hard on every day. We couldn't have accomplished it without the many hours his dad spent up on the ladder with the paint brushes in hand. We are so glad to have that project behind us!

In the Fall we got our puppy Mason, and he is such a big addition to our family, literally. It is very exciting watching him grow and learn. We were glued to the television throughout the presidential race, but got even more enthralled towards the end as the clock ticked down to election day. We were very excited when our candidate of choice became the President-Elect.

With Winter came the holidays, travel, time with family and friends, and a new 52" television for the husband. I can honestly say that is his favorite thing about 2008!

We had a great year in 2008 and can't wait to see what 2009 has in store for us!

Happy Holidays!

The Stick

"Uh-oh, he's coming for my stick!"
"Nice stick... don't mind if I do!"
"Oh no he didn't!"
"My stick, not yours!"
"That's more like it!"
"I didn't want the dumb stick anyway!"

Santa's Light Ball Workshop

Matt's grandfather, Lloyd, visited us yesterday from Georgia. He helped us make the light balls to complete our Christmas lights. He has been making them for years, and was nice enough to lend us his expertise. He did most of the work! Matt's mom, Donna, and I just worked the assembly line. I think Matt did some drilling.
