Purple Passion

I love the vibrant purple of these salvia. Matt actually picked these out all on his own, I was so impressed. Even the butterflies love them!

White on White

Last year I had my coral geraniums. This year, we went for white to change it up. I think it looks great with the new house colors and will be beautiful once the grow and get bigger throughout the summer.

Three years ago today...

we became Mr. and Mrs...
We have gone through a lot of changes over the past three years, and I can't wait to see what our future holds! Happy Anniversary to my Mr.!

Shades of Yellow

I am so happy these actually came up and bloomed this year. I was really worried because the dogs dug up a lot of bulbs before we put wood down. I assumed I lost everything. These are georgous, despite the wood logs crushing their roots. Enjoy!

Project : Goodbye Eunonymous

Our Golden Euynonymous was a great shrub (many years ago), but because the previous owners did not prune it, it got too big and over sized for it's location. We decided to take it out and open up the front planter and walk way. We planted the red azaleas last Spring, and love them, so we bought two more and completed the box. Eventually, these will form a beautiful border around the hydrangea we planted in the center. We like how open it is and now you can see our great little side porch. The before + after photos are shown below... excuse the difference in daytime lighting!

Still to do this year... bury black drain pipe and mulch entire area.
Our plans for next season... remove landscaping timbers and replace with stone/pavers.

Pink Monsoon

The first thunderstorm of the season came through this week. Blooms from the cherry tree were everywhere, it looked like a pink monsoon in our front yard. The front of our house was plastered with pink, as were our cars and the neighbors cars... sorry neighbors! Poor Mason was scared every time he saw a flash of lightning or heard a rumble of thunder, but he survived it!

Pretty in Pink

Beautiful Saturday

Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful day!

Our Week

The sun finally came out today after 3 days of rain, and the doggies loved it! I have 1 tulip that survived the wrath of the dogs and Mason almost beheaded it. I am giving it maybe 1 more day before it is gone. The cherry tree is getting so beautiful, it should be at peak bloom this weekend... I can't wait! I also got my hair cut for the first time in a very long time. I will post pics this weekend... stay tuned!

Happy Easter!

Our beautiful Kwanzan Cherry just started blooming yesterday. I will get more photos when it is in full bloom! A pretty birdie that landed on one of the branches.

What georgeous weather for our Easter Sunday, even though it is a little on the chilly side. We enjoyed a great brunch with the inlaws at The Cheesecake Factory. I enjoyed the French Toast Napoleon and then got my favorite cheesecake, White Chocolate Raspberry, to go.

Skye reminds us to stop and smell the flowers!
