Now, if you knew my Papa Larry, you know he was the biggest rock hound ever. He had
such a passion and love for gems and minerals and all beautiful things that came
from the earth, and he shared that passion with the wonderful community he called home
by way of his Mineral & Lapidary museum. I don't know if my son will grow up to be a
real rock hound, but he sure does love to play with rocks in our yard. When he picks
one up, he turns them around in his fingers looking very intently, studying each one.
He loves to collect them in buckets, my hands, or in his pockets (usually not
discovered until they reach the dryer). I certainly don't mind holding his rocks for
him while he is out exploring!
