Sunday we drove to Charlottesville, VA (Matt's hometown) to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday. We enjoyed a wonderful Sunday brunch at the Old Mill Room of the
Boar's Head Inn. It was a beautiful setting, and I am so sad that I didn't take my camera because there were are so many photos I would have taken. We spent some more time with my in laws and enjoyed some yummy birthday cake from Whole Foods before heading back home. It was a beautiful drive through the Virginia countryside with the windows down on our way home. Ahhhh, one of my favorite things about the summer! Once we returned home, we found the perfect spot for the new ponytail palm that my mother-in-law placed in our care!
The boys were glad to see us come home and enjoyed some outdoor time in the sun. They had so much energy to burn off!!
We ended the evening out on the front porch enjoying the chorus of crickets, listening to old school music from our ipods, watching lightening bugs, savoring our favorite Ace Pear Cider, and talking about the past and our future plans. It was the perfect Summer evening!
