Our new bed is here! The pillow cases are drying as we speak. I am so excited for a wonderful nights sleep tonight. I am now wishing I had taken a few hours off tomorrow morning to sleep in, but alas, I didn't think ahead! Sleeping in will have to wait for Saturday. Stay tuned for photos with our new sheets and pillows!
happy birthday skye-boy
I am a little behind. His birthday was actually February 8th... right when we returned from Jamaica. I sang happy birthday to him when got home and he gave me one of his looks that he is so famous for (evidenced below). My baby is now 4 years old!
It is crazy how time flies. I remember when he was just a little puppy. He barked and talked to us, while sounding like he had a little frog in his throat. Matt could hold him in just one hand. He was a precious little ball of fur with big blue eyes that melted (and still melts) our hearts. And his favorite thing was to curl up beside his husky doll. So many memories!
Nothing could make him happier than snow on his birthday, and he got just that!

jamaica - day 4
Of course, on the day we have to pack up and leave, the sun makes it appearance again. Of course! It was a beautiful way to leave the resort behind though. And just because I am leaving doesn't mean that I am going to stop taking photos. I would never do that, ha!
The scenery on our walk to breakfast and back!
While Matt was finishing up the packing, I went out to take more photos. I just couldn't get enough!
Matt joined me for a few more farewell photos. He gives this Jamaica vacation 2 thumbs up! What a funny guy.
We sat in this gorgeous lobby waiting for our chariot back to the city.
And then we left on jet plane back to reality!
After digging cars out and digging back into the driveway, we were happy to get home to these sweet faces! And my mom who took time out of her life to take care of them while we were gone.
It was a wonderful trip, many thanks to my mother-in-law Donna for doing all of the planning and making it possible. If my photos haven't made you want to visit, maybe this will.
Hope you enjoyed!

jamaica - day 3.3
After relaxing, we headed in for dinner. Because it was our last night, we wanted to try the 2 restaurants we had not yet been to. First up was the Mexican restaurant. It was decent, nothing like the authentic Mexican restaurants in our area, but decent food. It is hard to mess up fajitas which is what we all ordered.
Notice the new necklace Matt bought for me. It is interesting, the stones are a golden and amber in color. I didn't have much to match it on the trip. I am on the hunt now for the perfect scoop neck black sweater/top to wear it with.
After that, we headed to the stage area to watch the Superbowl. That's right! The Superbowl on big screens just steps away from pools, bars, and the ocean. Not everyone at the resort was from the US, but the ones that were were gathered around watching the big game and the commercials. They had a huge food and appetizer buffet, popcorn, all the things you would expect. They also had cakes and ice sculptures for each team. The best was sitting in the chairs with the waitresses coming around to bring you whatever drink you so desired. It was a little surreal, I must say.
After halftime, Matt got a little antsy, so we headed to the Asian restaurant. It was better than the Mexican restaurant, but not as good as the steak restaurant we ate at the first night, that was the most popular among all of us. And then we went back to the room to pack... boo!

jamaica - day 3.2
We headed back to the room and while Matt was napping, I spent some time out taking pictures of the flowers and the rocky shore closest to our room.
Just hearing the waves crashing and feeling the cool wind from the ocean was amazing. I was probably out here for an hour taking these photos. Surprisingly, there didn't seem to be much of a tide, like a high tide and low tide. Not sure how that works down here. Maybe I'll google that sometime!
