will-isms

Hello, blog readers! Is there anyone still out there? I took an unexpected summer vacation from
my blog! I haven't stopped taking and editing photos, but got a little behind on getting everything
posted. I will be getting caught up over the next few weeks here. I did want to share this little
tidbit from earlier this evening.

During our nighttime bedtime reading, Will has gotten very good at finishing the sentences and
will pick-up reading the words as I trail off. It amazes me what his little mind remembers. We
have been reading Casey at the Bat for quite some time. It may not be completely age appropriate,
but it is baseball related, so I am sure you can imagine that he loves it!

This evening, we got to the last stanza, and I told him we were going to read the whole thing
together. We made it trough the first line, and then the second.

Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright;
The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light,
And somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout;
But there is no joy in Mudville — mighty Casey has struck out.

and then we got to the third line, and he read "and somewhere men are peeing..."

I couldn't contain my laughter and we were both giggling and rolling with laughter! Can you tell
we are in full potty training mode around here!?!
